Construction, Limited Parking On Bennington Expected to Last Pretty Much Forever

David Spector shared this photo of a construction zone/no parking sign that’s been in place on Bennington near Cortland for at least a year… and apparently, there’s no end in sight.

  1. How is that legal? I mean, what’s to stop builders from just upping the end-date with a sharpie whenever they want to? Is there any sort of a check on this system?

    • So what is involved in renewing such a thing? Are builders able to do it over and over again without limit?

      • As long as the building permit is active they can continue to renew the street use permit. Given how long Blair Burke takes to finish a project… It’s gonna be awhile.
